Thermal modelling is a computerised simulation of a building that uses complex algorithms to accurately predict how a building will behave under certain conditions. These simulations can be performed on both existing buildings and those which are still at the desk top design stage. Typical building characteristics that can be assessed include:

- Summertime Overheating
- Annual energy usage and CO2 emissions
- Brise Soleil and solar shading requirements
- Building orientation
